About Us
Nana Banana's is a small family business located in New Hampshire.
We began this "from the heart" small business in July of 2009, shortly after the passing of our beloved "Nana Banana”. Our loss of my mom Pauline, who was named "Nana Banana" by my children many years ago, made us realize that time passes quickly & you should never take tomorrow for granted. If you have something you want to do...do it now...not later! The idea of having a business making cookies that we have enjoyed from family recipes over the years, was something that had been thought about & discussed many times.
My wife, named "Grammy Sammy" by our grandson, is very talented in the kitchen & as a matter of fact, he will only eat her chocolate chip cookies & no one else's!
Well, after our family tragedy, she decided that she was going to finally do what she had thought of many times before; she was going to start a business sharing the sweet recipes from her family & from mine. She LOVES baking for everyone & she is terrific at it! So,...why not? So, in July it seemed natural to name our new business Nana Banana's in honor of my mom & then to develop our idea of honoring other grandparents in our families by sharing their recipes in our bite-sized cookies.
One of the cookies we offer is based on her grandmother's recipe for ginger snaps. They are awesome...! I've always liked ginger snaps but when I tasted these, I was hooked! I have never tasted any cookies like them in my life & believe me I have eaten a lot of cookies in my time!
The idea for selling cookies was my wife's idea, the name was a mutual idea & the bite sized idea was mine because when I eat cookies I make a mess of crumbs otherwise!
