Why Nana Banana’s want to share our success with Child & Family Services… I have realized since starting with CFS in January 2008, that this agency is a treasure within the State of NH!

An amazing resource of people, the array of services & the non-discriminatory nature of this agency that extends not only to CFS clients but to CFS employees only scratches the surface of what makes this agency so unique! I have a long history of being in the for-profit business world, a long history of volunteerism as well as many years working in the company of non-profits…and after all that, I would rather be affiliated with CFS as a professional than any other choice I have been offered!

Due in part to the economy, but most of all because it’s the right thing to do… Nana Banana's would like to sponsor a fundraiser to benefit Child & Family Services!

This would be to generate an unrestricted donation to CFS. This donation will be given in memory of my mom who passed away in July & whose nickname, given originally to her by my children was, Nana Banana!

We also plan to make this an annual fundraiser for CFS.

During my mom's last 2 weeks with us & after her passing, Sharon & Maria from the Parent Aide Program & Jeannie from HR were very supportive & helped me get through a very difficult time by making it possible to not worry about my CFS responsibilities. Particularly Sharon, who somehow found other PA's to cover my cases & during every call I made to her, constantly reassured me that I could take the time I needed for me & for my family!

This fundraiser is my way of thanking CFS for not only being there for families in general but being there for mine during our recent loss. My parents raised us to always thank those who do something nice...so this is my family's way of doing that now. Nana Banana's came into being because my mom’s life & her passing made us realize that you should never take tomorrow for granted & if you have something you want to do...do it now...not later!

My wife & I believe that this business will provide us with a way to help other families as well as ours, now & in the future!

This fundraiser is our first effort to live our philosophy with the help of Nana Banana’s!

I know that my Mom would be proud to know that her family was actively sharing their success in order to help other families succeed.

My parents were foster parents for years and eventually 2 of those many children became my adopted brother & sister. With that experience, it taught us that we were fortunate to have our family close around us & that not everyone was that lucky. It also gave me a strong desire to make a difference whenever I could...so in honor of both of my parents, I hope that Nana Banana's can partner somehow with CFS to do just that!

My wife & I decided about a year ago that we wanted to become foster parents/adoptive parents once we moved into our new home. We recently completed our Foster Parent Certification Classes…our house is being built and once again we believe that it’s never too late for new experiences to share & a family is never too big to include even more love & additional faces at the table!

Life HAS obviously come full circle & the example that my parent’s set for me will carry on with a new generation of foster children & adoptions for my wife & I.

For our first Non-Profit Fundraiser we have chosen Child and Family Services of New Hampshire. Nana Banana's will give 10% of ALL profits from our retail sales during the period of Dec. 15th 2009 thru January 31st, 2010 to CFS.

How the CFS Fundraiser Works (rules):

1) Nana Banana's will give 10% of ALL profits from our retail sales during the period of Dec. 15th 2009 thru January 31st, 2010 to CFS.

2) This will include all of our retail sales at Grandview Flea Market in Derry, ALL retail sales at other venues we have tables & booths at during this period as well as all retail online sales on our website from 12/15/09-1/31/10.

3) In addition, for all CFS employees who order online & pay for shipping but allow us to deliver it via our CFS office locations instead of by postal delivery to their homes...Nana Banana's will donate all of the shipping charges not utilized as well!

4) We will deliver all employee placed orders to either CFS Chestnut Street location in Manchester, CFS in Concord or CFS in Exeter for all employees who wish to have their shipping fees donated instead of having their orders shipped to their homes.

5) CFS employees must simply put the location of the closest CFS office to them, or one that they will be visiting in order to pick them up in the comment section of their PayPal order at our website, so we'll know where to drop off their order. Also, employees can pick up orders for anyone in their HOME office to take back with them.

6) CFS delivery locations to use so that shipping charges not utilized become part of our donation:

CFS Office in Concord, CFS 464 Chestnut Street, Manchester, CFS office in Exeter.

REMEMBER, your office delivery choice must be written by you in the section of your PayPal transaction so we will be notified of your intention to have us donate your shipping charges to CFS in addition to 10% of our profit for your order.

7) For any CFS employee who prefers to order by check, they may e-mail us their order & then send their check to us using the PO Box mailing address on our website.

For CFS employees ONLY, we will fill the order as soon as we receive your check BUT we will not make you wait for your check to clear before filling your order! (our usual policy is to wait until checks clear on such orders BUT if we can't trust CFS employees...who can we trust??!) In order to not have to wait for your check to clear first, you MUST send your order request to me at LeeNanaBananas@gmail.com using your CFS e-mail account so I can verify that you are an employee.

8) This Fundraiser will generate 10% of our profit from ALL of our sales during the next 6 weeks, not just from CFS employee orders so PLEASE encourage family, neighbors & friends to order as well! If they would like you to pick up their orders with yours at a local CFS office, then please send me an e-mail from your CFS account giving us the 1st & last names of those family members & friends who would like to donate their online shipping costs as well by having you pick their orders up instead!
